Anyone who knows me knows that I heart the Olympics. I don’t know why, don’t judge me! Sadly though, all the winter Olympics do is make me long for the summer Olympics. It is like a gigantic tease. I get really excited to see the rings starting to spear in the corner of the NBC channel, only to be reminded that my beloved swimmers and gymnast still have 2 more years before we meet again.
So instead of sulking in the swallows of snow that is overtaking my NBC channel that SHOULD be showing the Biggest Loser (my new addiction but the way), I am going to count down my top 5 Olympic moments that I wish would happen on a daily basis.
1996- Atlanta: I was 10 and I think this is when my love affair with the Olympics started. Kerri Strug vaults with a major injury and lands it! Awesome!
2000- Although they did not win anything, I was introduced to Sean Townsend who despite being a male gymnast, is still on my top 5 list (thought I wrote a blog about that, but it is MIA.)*
2004- Bitch Russian gymnast who looks like fish get silver metal again! HA! Oh how I dislike you! Not to mention that when I was googling you, a lot of boobie picutres came up, dirty hoe!
2004- Misty May and Kerri Walsh win gold for women’s volleyball. I heart these ladies and I would kill for their abs.
2008- 600m men’s swimming relay literally brought me out of my seat screaming! If the BF can watch that and still love me he is a keeper.
There ya’ have it! It was really hard to narrow it down, my apologies to the memorable moments that failed to make the list. And, yes, I am ignoring the fact that I have been a bullshit blogger as of late. Please don’t call shenanigans on me again.
*while a was looking though blogs for the Top 5 post that I swear was there at one point, I came across my post again new clothes I wanted and saw a dress from Fover21 that I blogged about here, that the BF bought me for Valentines day on sale for $7! Win/Win in, I feel! (the flowery one, I heart it still, although it does make me feel like a bit of a cupcake)
